Artist Residency at the Arches
“The Arches,” perched on the cliffside of historic Tropea in southern Calabria, are believed to have been built during the Angevin period in the thirteenth century. In this old but light-filled space, artists spend a week creating art and absorbing a unique blend of sun, stone, earth, and sea.
TROPEArte was founded in 2023 with a vision of uniting art, history, and culture in Tropea, rooted in a spirit of humanity and built on the town’s history of art, openness, tolerance, and independence. Its Artist Residency at the Arches is administered in collaboration with Studio Italiano Tropea
